I am looking for advice on shipping from ON to AB. Which company do CDN OGers use? My one quote was an eye-popper!
Any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Any Canucks have any good leads on shipping within Canada? In particular from ON to AB.

I have used different household moving companies with pretty good luck, and they treat it better than a freight company. Just don't use "Two Small Men with Big Hearts", total rip off company.

Good alternative Lance. I might have to try that when I start getting into bigger items. Some Coke signs I have had so far Canada Post would not accept! Also some 5 gallon cans have a very high shipping quote!

I've shipped many items with uship.com

You can set a maximum amount that you are willing to pay and different shipping agencies bid on your request.

When I ship to AB. or BC I use Greyhound for anything 100lbs or less and 3ft high. x 5ft long max.
Over 100lbs. I crate the item and use Reimer ( YRC ) freight.

I only ever ship small items so I have only ever went through Canada Post. But eventually I hope to get into big items. Biggest item so far is Coke signs, 57x 17 inch. Thanks for any advice as I am also interested in learning as much about (Canadian) shipping as I can. You would be surprised how much the cost of shipping is up here.
