A friend says he's picked up an original blue tint glass for a 10gal visible. No pic or measurement yet. Not sure if he's got a clear or a true blue. Since I don't deal in visibles much I want to give him a reasonable value he can expect to get for the glass either way. The values I can give since my last one are a good 6 years old.

I figured based on old experience if it's a clear probably around $400 if it's a common size, does that sound about right? Say for something like a Tok.

If it's a true blue what kind of premium are they bringing these days? I'm leery to use eBay for something like these since the prices there could be high/low any given month of detail level.

If you were looking to replace a cylinder with an original glass what range would you figure you'd see?

Once he sends me a pic and measurements I'll get them up here, but I'd like to at least give him a stronger range idea.

How about a general range on clear given size variations?

I think your value on a clear common size is accurate, if really nice maybe a little more. If it is a blue one add 100-150 on it. The Fry cylinders command much more.

Thanks, Phil

Thanks Phil. Won't know until he sends me picks/measures to see if it's for a more rare pump.

OK, size is 13.5/8"x22" And it's a clear tube from the look, not a true blue.

Here's the cylinder in question. Given the size I'm guessing it's for a Frye pump.
