Dayton 600 tags have been discussed here before and a 2 hole tag was presented (see bottom photo below). But my Dayton 600 appears to have a 4 hole tag (see top photo below). Anyone out there have info or a photo and dimensions for a 4 hole Dayton 600 ID tag? It's a 4 screw tag with the holes on 2.350 and 1.425 centers. That would make the tag about 2 ½ x 1 5/8.

Thanks, Jeff

Tags like this depended on where you were. Some states/cities/counties had laws/specification concerning gas pumps. Some locations required that the pump be inspected as to location/installation/electric etc., and some had requirements where a tag be attached to the pump that specified that it had been inspected and had passed the area's specifications.

Too many collectors assume that every pump made by a pump company was the same. In many of my parts manuals there is a section where they show the specification for New York City, or the state of Massachusetts, etc.

Did your pump come from Arizona, where in Arizona, etc.? Not looking for an answer, it doesn't matter. Apparently the tag that is missing was not put on the pump by Dayton.

Thanks Jack,
So is the 2 hole tag correct? I cannot find any 2 hole locations on the pump that would take a 2 hole tag. I assume Dayton put a tag on the pump. Do you have any Dayton 600 parts lists for sale in your stash?
Thanks, Jeff
