A good friend of mine was burned by this seller yesterday. He had just sat down to his computer with his coffee and did his usual ebay search of Texaco. When he discovered this hard to find Texaco sign with a BIN price. He couldn't believe his luck and immediately hit the BIN box. Thinking everything was fine, the seller later wrote him back saying the auction was cancelled.
What a fine seller this John guy it. I'm posting this so everyone out there can really think twice about "ever" buying from this guy ? Does anyone know who he is, 10 years of selling mostly gas & oil items.

The buyer did write the seller back with no response at all.

 Why does this seller have 1152 Feedbacks on E-Bay, 100% Positive? Doesn't any of his "victims" enter Negative Feedback to warn other bidders ?? Ed.

Ed I was told from two other members that the seller also had the Sea Chief & Diesel Chief signs on about the same time. Talking with one member we can only think the seller was offered a crazy amount of money for all 3 hex signs. I don't know and the seller won't acknowledge the buyer through emails. I'm just putting the story out there. I've waited over 24 hours for the seller to come forward.

Ebay needs to change their policy and block members ability to look up completed auctions...as it is now there are a lot of ******* who search completed auctions for great buys and then contact the sellers offering more money...total BS by both the ******** offering more money and the sellers accepting the offers....

I'm sorry to hear that. But the three Texaco sign that I listed on Tuesday were stolen from my garage,my son had left the door open while he was working on his truck,my fault for leaving them on my desk.i will be watching ebay and paper,pawn shops for them.I'm out three sign and you mad at me.
I didn't say I was mad at him. I said I'm upset. I don't like to use the word mad.

I can say with confidence that I wan't that sign as much or MORE than anyone else out there and would have gladly paid much more than the asking price ! But I would never try and queer a deal when it had already been made. With the sale of this sign and the auctions of the Diesel & Sea Chief being canceled within hours of being listed it sure seems something shady happened. If it were me I would ask eBay to look at the messages sent to the seller about this sign, to see if someone offered him more money to cancel the sale...he won't get the sign but he may get the two guys banned from eBay.

Looking at his sold items....The Diesel Chief 12x18 is a Fake. Either they don't know or are a shady seller.
