Anybody have a method to remove masking tape adhesive from painted plastic .?

Try it with 3M adhesive remover. Test first to make sure it doesn't harm the plastic- it is fine on most. Not sure if it available anywhere retail, I get mine from sign supply distributor.

WD-40 will remove adhesive. Just spray and let soak. Test before using on small area.

Yeah different than metal. The tape was put on a plastic clock face to cover a brand and the adhesive most have solidified on it with the heat from the light bulb. No way to remove the remaining hazing without removing the thin layer of paint underneath. Put some cooking oil on it looks better.. smirk

I use WD40 as well, on beer signs and metal oil cans.

Agree WD 40, other things will melt or haze the plastic.
