Might be good to have vendors show their names displayed on tables at events and swap meets. Members take and post great pictures and at times I would like to follow up on some signs I see, but don't know who to contact. I have asked in the past but it does not always work. Anyway just a thought and others may have addressed this.

Might be good to have vendors show their names displayed on tables at events and swap meets. That really is a good idea along with contact info.

I believe a person mentioned (a while back) that some vendors do not like that idea ???

i could see why some would not want to do it... lets face it, some people are just weird to talk to on the phone, lol. not to mention the occasional annoying, rude, or hard to understand callers too.

If one doesn't want to post a name/number - what about using your member number here (found in profile) and putting that on a large posterboard in your booth? I found a numerical member list- perhaps Jim can tell us if there is a way to search by member number? One could also just use their oldgas username as those are easily searchable. Would prevent a lot of questions for those who are kind enough to take show photos for those of us who can't make it. Also could drum up some more business for everyone :)) Have fun at Peotone, wish I could make it.

Email is good too. Just thought a big number would be easy to read in smaller/more distant photos??

well... Peotone proved to be a perfect example of why this idea seems like a good one, but in reality it just doesnt work. I printed my full name and phone number off in large text on a piece of paper, hung one up high, and one at table level... and yet, they were still both unreadable because of the angle the picture was taken. unfortunately, i dont think there is a good way to do what was asked in the original post because you just dont know who will be snapping the pics and from what angles.

I agree, there needs to be a system to identify a member on here to have an opportunity to follow up on an item.
Speaking of which, does anybody know who had the airstream trailer sign that was posted on the Peotone pictures, it was the last picture on page 1.
Thank You
Jeff
