I looked and didn't see one until you told me where it was. Good eye, yep it's a circle R. Does that determine age or authenticity? I assume it means it's an official piece from the Speedway.

Not sure Bryce! The guy I bought it from everyone seems to talk highly of so I can't see him selling me a fake without him telling me.. But anymore info is great!! Is it a pump plate possibly?

...I don't think the circle R was in use, when the older logo on the left side was...'REG US PAT OFF', or something similar would have been the norm at that time - if anything was used at all...

...I'll be honest, the fonts used for 'Indianapolis Motor Speedway' look like they were typeset on a computer, and not created by hand...the circle R kind of settled it for me...I'm thinking it is a nostalgia piece, created for sale by the raceway for sale at their gift shop...

...while I'm dispensing with the bad news: I really don't think the license plate attachments posted above are 'right' either frown

a few that I got recently... the gold coin can is early Sweney oil, very rare and very excited to have it. got the pump from Les (Done4) and found the crown at peotone, they were a perfect match.

A few of my Peotone buys.

After all these years buying pumps and nozzles, I've never found or owned a roller nozzle. I broke down and bought this one.

On Sunday morning a new truck rolled in and I bought these 4 pumps, I was one happy camper!

Not much for me this week just a Iowa gas 2001 pin and a hand written thank you from Sinclai oil Corp. and a Speacial employees bicentennial pin.

I had a big load going to Peotone as I had a lot of presold items with me and I had a big load coming back, as there were quite a few things from both coasts that I was able to have delivered there to Peotone. I was also able to purchase a couple of cool pieces from vendors there!
