OK, pump experts ...

Why is this particular nozzle very desired?

I have seen them bring > $800 in the past.

Most recent transaction:

Thanks,

Hen

OK, Find one when you need it for your single or twin 850. They only fit that pump or a similar model. You can put anything there and it will look just like a nozzle hanging on the wrong pump. Or just wait for a year or two and spend time running all over to swap meets, talking to people and then see how much time it takes.
Not defending anyones right to ask the price, just saying when you need the correct finish on the pump.

Hmmm.... If everyone thinks a roller nozzle should only cost a few of hundred bucks today then I should be seeing Romans and display pumps for $5K not $20K

Did ALL 850's come with a roller nozzle when new? I've looked at tons of old pictures from back in the 1930's when 850's were in use. I hardly ever see a roller nozzle on one. The majority appear to be plain brass nozzles with a hook.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life:
in thy presence is fulness of joy;
at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
