I need a Gilbarco Air Meter Escussion plate that is on the front panel just above the hose hook. Mine was smashed bad. I ordered a repro and they look terrible. the finish on the cast just doesnt look good and instead of 2 studs it has one. I would like to find orignal even if studs are broken off.

Rick;

I had the same problem. Originally, I ordered a repro (can't emember where) and it was plastic. I had it chromed, didn't look too bad, and glued it on. Then I bought a metal repro, I think from Jack Sim at Hershey. Had it polished. Looked good, but like you said, only 1 stud. Fabricated a "bridge" and put it on. Looks pretty good. Sorry, don't have any originals.

Hope this helps.

Steve

I agree with you guys, they just don't look like the originals, but the problem is that the demand is just not there for someone to duplicate the originals.
Gilbarco just didn't sell like the ECOs, as a matter of fact Gilbarco never even made their own mechanims, every Gilbarco ever made had an ECO mechanism in it. Unless you are extremely lucky and find an original, you just have to work with what is available.
