Hi- Anybody have any ideas on who might have been the manufacturer of this bench I just picked up? It has a roll top/ tambour type cover that comes down but is currently locked. It appears to have been originally white. Not sure if it might have been for an alignment machine-or what? Id like to know so I can look for some emblems or badges . It appears there are slots to attach cabinets to the sides as well. There is a painted over plastic like lighted area that may show some clues if I can get the paint off without destroying it. The "Snap-On" is just a sticker. Thanks for any input.

Looks maybe like the inner part of a Lincoln Engineering Co. workbench to me. Missing it's center medallion?..Do you see 4 screw holes behind the SNAP ON sticker?

Very close but looks like the top section of Jim's is slightly different, no 'framed' look compared to the next example. Plus it looks like there is pin striping going around the exterior sides of the top section. Would they do that if it was to be covered?

Mine has been repainted and that striping is newer. I'll take a better look tonight and see if I can get the cover down

You have door handles, while the ones I posted have door knobs. And you door hinges look hidden,as opposed to the ones I've shown which are more obvious. Don't know if these are a factor or not.

The front of the JimT cabinet has a panel with a light behind glass where the Snap-on sticker is. That should be an ad glass. I have the same cabinet with both side cabinets and will post pictures later. My cabinet was in a Chevrolet Dealership.

OK I dropped it off at my media blaster last night and I stopped after work and snapped a few more pictures. I was mistaken on the roll top. It is actually three panels that come down to cover the work area. Also to release the cover, the handles slide in to release the latching mechanism. Also, the lighted ad glass area was long ago replaced with a piece of flashing and painted over so there are no clues for me there. It definitely has at least some age to it ,as the fluorescent light fixtures look 50s-60s and relies on a starter to light the bulb. By the way, thanks to you guys who have posted your helpful thoughts. Looking forward to Waynes pictures.

OK,the lighted panel & the 3 tier rolltop door are unique, and with those hidden hinges & vertical door handles, sounds like you have a Kent-Moore brand work station there. Pictures of a Kent-Moore.
