Since this is Thanksgiving weekend and I wrecked this 71 Cougar up in Montana coming home from Thanksgiving dinner in California in 1972 I thought it was about time to repair it. My nephew and I had been in Bozeman chasing girls when I decided to pass a Volkswagon on black ice. Slid off the road and hit a telephone pole. That action made me keep the car up until the present. Lets see if I can repair it better than the garage that fixed it after the accident. Since I took these pictures I now have the rear quarter panel off. Here are the pictures. Mitch

Other then the collision damage, body looks to be very solid. Is that a donor car parked behind it or the next one waiting it's turn for a restoration?

Dave, it's another 71 Cougar that the body is in better shape than the one I'm working on. I'm 79 and figure I'm going to run out of birthdays before I run out of projects, so I gave that one to my 21 year old grandson. Went to their house for Thanksgiving and he is anxious to get started on it but it can't be moved until I can move the gold one. The gold one has a 351 Cleveland 4V with a C-6 transmission where the other is just a standard 2 barrel. Mitch
