Respect for the guy who attended the show and spotted the wrong Impala VIN#.
Both it & the corvette were built @ the St.Louis assembly plant,so someone with a keen eye noticed the difference.
A keen eye for sure.

The guy who spotted the number knew his stuff. The current owner did the honorable thing to check with the state. That couldn't have been easy to give that car up.

Interesting that the car was insured and titled for all of these years with an Impala VIN# & no one in between saw a red flag?
Corvettes started with the #4,while Impalas started with the #1.

If the guy was pd by the insurance co when it was stolen, the car belongs to the insurance co.
