Hi everyone, I know its been a while. I recently tried to start hunting gas pumps again. I found a guy with two pumps he wants to sell. I believe one is a m&s 70 and the other is a wayne 40a. Please correct me if I am wrong. He sent some pictures my way of the pumps which i will try to post here. I would like some advice on the value of each pump.. Trying to figure out if theyre worth buying, i know they are missing some parts and the door on the ms has a crack through the top. Thanks in advance for any advice!!

Dustin, you'll probably have a difficult time finding the correct visi-gauge for the 40A. Also, not sure why the face bezel is taped on, I'd want to know if it was broken or not. I'd also want to know if the one on the back is there or not before estimating a value. Brady

Ill try to get pictures of the backside of the pumps. But Im assuming ill need a new bezel for both sides. Thank you for the input. I just need a rough estimate of value

A complete Wayne 40A, with no problems and solid sheetmetal, is worth $1800 to $2200 (Maybe $2500 on a REALLY nice one), depending on patina. This one is missing the visi, face bezels, faces, and something is obviously defective on the top, or he wouldn't have that globe holder ring attached. Scobie sells cast iron repops of the bezels at $150 each and the faces are $50 for a set. The visi is another story---you might find one, but I bet it will run around $450 or so??(Scobie sometimes has repops) and after these parts, there are the small tags and badges and levers and cranks that need to be there, but we can't see if they are or not?? So take the highest figure and start deducting for ANY parts you might need, or set your sights higher and buy a complete one.
Same goes for the MS 70, but you have a smaller base price to start with. Use $1400 to $1600 on the MS70, and start deducting!
Scobies website is www.gaspump.com
