Here's mine. I don't know if they made a white back version.

...look at the font used for 'Dieselect Fuel' on the sign on eBay...should tell you all you need to know...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

I cant see a difference between the two. This is a subject close to my heart since Gulf pump plates are my main interest and this is one I have not been able to get. I see all the other GULF Plates especially the 1 & 2 diesel round being reproduced. Very sad indeed to see this one now. I might as well sell them while I have the chance since this ***** has ruined the market...

I might as well sell them while I have the chance since this ***** has ruined the market... It sure has....pump plates will be almost worthless in the future, in all brands due to the rampant repros.

Look at the extra white outer boarder on the repo. Not present on the original.

OK..I see it now! Right, the white border on the outermost portion of the sign on the fake.. ALSO, the wider white strip under the bottom black area Man you have to be a forensic scientist any more, luckily there are some minor deviations (right now, who knows in a year or so). Carbon dating next??

The D,S,C and U are all wrong. White outer border where there shouldn't be one, missing blue border around the orange Gulf logo.
Wanted: Gas pump globes:Sinclair & affiliates, IL companies. Ripple bodies. Anything Sinclair, Stoll, Pierce, 4 Bros. http://www.lastgas15.com/

I have been on ebay allot looking for signs and i noticed that there are allot of dads and grandpas leaving there repoped collection to the kids to sell them. I wish those dads and grandpas belonged to old gas so they could have bought better signs then these p.o.s repops
