For quite some time I have been collecting history, catalogs, and images regarding these fine Workbenches.
Alemite, Graco, Kent-Moore, Lincoln, Shure, and Sioux were some of the largest producers in the 40's - 50's.

Ultimately a website was needed to keep all of this information in one place.
If you are interested in these Mechanic Work Stations or just want to have a look, the site is:

https://www.servicemerchandisers.com

I truly welcome all comments, questions and corrections

Great site, an enjoyable read and nice introduction to these stations. They are beautiful! Would not have known they exist without this post, thank you.

Some other companies that made this type of cabinets are:
Belcrank; Air-Boy; Davis & Gant; Aro; United States Air Compressor Company; and Bare Manufacturing Co.

I have literature available on all of them.

Yes, you are correct Jack. I have some ARO, Bear and even Natkin benches up on my "Shure" page, as they were all built by Shure Manufacturing.

As for Balcrank, Air-Boy, Davis, U.S. Air Compressor, and even Gilbarco, I have yet to come across imagery or advertisements to confirm that they offered Work Stations.

If you have any supporting literature, I would be very interested in it.

The website has been growing and evolving over the last year and half. A large thank you goes out to the many members that have reached out to contribute photos and information.

Recently, we have acquired a collection of Chilton's Motor Age magazines and these are the Merchandiser related ads and images that were within.
