Hi To All! I am new to this site and forum. I recently picked at an old estate sale a very interesting and heavy car part which says "EIGHT" vertically written on the front. Very heavy about 11 lbs. Chrome and steel? I cannot for the life of me find it anywhere on the internet doing google images etc. I am by no means a "car guy" and would like some help from you experts identifying it if possible. I also am not that internet saavy so I cannot load the images to here but I can email some to anyone and maybe they can put it here somehow? Thanks so much for all your help an love this site!

At 11 lbs i would dought it was for a car but when you can get pictures will take a look.

I looked at a barn find late 40s early 50s Buick Convertible that had a hood piece that was a huge vertical piece on the center of the hood like you describe. It said Eight written vertical. The car was too far gone to save.
