Don Sherwood has changed the focus of his Vintage Gas Web site. It is now a virtual gas station museum with organized image albums of vintage gas station memorabilia. http://vintagegas.com/ Don is collecting and posting the images while I'm doing some of the technical work. We're not done by a long shot, but Don says it's OK for you to look in as we work on it. I think the site will be a valuable resource and an enjoyable experience to browse through the image albums. ------------------ Jim "Oldgas" PottsYour host and moderator

So far, we've put on over 700 images. When you enter one of the different "albums", try using the "slide show" feature at the top of the page. Also at the top of the page you can click on either "Gallery" or "Album", which will quickly take you back to the beginning. No more "back arrow" numerous times. I've been collecting these photos for several years, and made the mistake of not identifing them as coming from which collection. So, if you see a photo that is out of your collection, and you'd like that noted, please email me directly, I'll be glad to add the info. Also, if for some reason you see an image that is yours and you don't want to share it? Again, please notify me, and I'll remove it. We designed this site as a compliment to oldgas.com. A site that could be used to help identify pumps if the user does not have a photo to share on oldgas, or does not own jack's book. In addition, we hope that by looking at some of the other photos of quart cans or globes etc. the user might have that spark lit inside him/her that all of us have. We are open to comments both negative and positive. What can we do to make this site better? Have I mis-identified an item? Do you have photos to share of pumps not listed? You can forward photos to me directly at: Don@vintagegas.com ------------------ Don "oltoydoc" Sherwood Vintage Gas

Looks great so far...are you looking for more images? I have several hundred images of metal one quart oil cans that I have collected over the last five years or so mostly off of ebay. If you think you can use these I would be more than willing to share them with you for this project. Because I have copied them from ebay, I am not sure if it would be ok for you guys to post them on your site??? I just don't know the legallity of this, but I am sure someone out there knows.
I offer quart can re-lidding, can rolling, lid stamping, and dent removal.

The wife and I just took another slide show tour, seen things that I never seen the first ten times I went through, It's to bad this can get buried , it should be on the main menu where it can be reached easily, Its just too good to be in the back seat, Just my 2 cents worth.

KUDOS FOR CERTAIN ON THE GREAT WORK AND FOR SHARING ALL THOSE PICS! I found 8 or 10 super 8x10 photos of clocks and visables at an antique shop, but it would cost about $120 for the lot and I have not convinced myself to spend the cash. Seeing all these makes me think I should bite the bullet and contribute.

Thanks for the kind words of support. Obviously this would have never happened with out Jim the computer guru! A special thanks to those of you who have provided photos to share on this site. I have lots more to add. I did update some sign photos today, thanks to Scott Shippers who shared some of his pump plates. Just a note, the "Guest book" is now up and running, I hope you will all take a minute to sign in. Thanks again Don
