Here are some farm fresh photos from the Bakersfield Gas Bash. Thanks to Darren and Ami Winders for putting on a good show.

Lots of signs, lots of high prices, made me feel good about my recent local purchases.

Not a lot of people there, and not that many vendors either. I think that some of you guys in the midwest might want to bring your stuff out here when you see the prices they're wanting out here.

This photo is for Ted Roach. Ted, as promised I delivered the goods. As you can see all lids were on all of the bottles when I handed it to Dwaine Buck. Dwaine was riding with Elden so if you did not get the complete package all I can say is that it made it to Bakersfield.

Now you'll know whether Dwaine is really your friend or not.

Nice pics, looks like a good show. I am just glad to see that none of you guys found my pumps out that way. I just got a call saying there is a guy out that way with a 6 inch tall stack of old signs in his yard. (same guy with the Keese) I need to take a trip back down there! Maybe I'll drive down for next year's bash.

I remember the good old days when gold was worth more than rust!

Just got a call from Ted, he says the bash has picked up. Yesterday Darwin was worried that the bash might not be as good as last years. friday was a little slow like real slow. But ol Tedder said over 100 early birds today plus all the tables were full up. thats a good sign. Helping the Hobby.

Just back from the bash. Stopped on the way home and took a couple side trips. Thanks Curt for the beer but by the time I got it all the bottles were empty and they just threw it by my front gate. Just kidding Dwaine has it in safe keeping thanks again. Well things picked up today and they opened the gates at 7 a.m. and I would say shortly after there were about 100 people including vendors that were around at one time. They only advertised in the local papers as Sat. only so it was good for the vendors. I waited until about 10 a.m. to take the pictures so people were not in too many of them. All in all for a Dec. bash I was happy I went. Picked up a Richfield can I didn't have believe it or not and a Carnation ice cream sign for Pam which I will post in buy of the week. Got some people going to help promote the Solvang gas bash so Curt you better hang on. Here are some pics today as I didn't see any of the stuff in the pics from Friday. Ray Seider and alot of other southern CA. guys left yesterday. Their loss as sales were pretty good early A.M. and all tables taken inside. Ted
First pic the hosts in the center the boss Ami Winders and on the right the slave Dairen. ( just kidding guys)

The collection ( a portion)

On the left the infamous Bob Van Gilder alias Turlock Bob and Dale on the right with a couple clowns in the background.

Hey, don't talk about my belly that way!

You guys make it out to the Solvang Bash in July and there will be plenty of Firestone Beer to go around (we will be making a trip to the brewery).

Great to hear that Saturday picked up, because Friday was dead. Got to catch up with old friends though like Dick Bennett and GasPumpRob and meet some new ones (Elden, Dwaine, Randy, etc.).

Here's a place I spotted on the way home, should have offered him some money for his signs because I'm sure I would have done better than I did at the bash.

Chris, The sign belonged to Ray Sieder. it was just beautiful, so many colors. $4,500.00 double sided. I have his number if you want it. You would have to put the house on hold for awhile. But here's a good one. email Elden and ask if he would send you a bigger image so you could have a few pictures or have T-way place the image on Vinyl then on metal or plastic. but if Elden agrees to send you a bigger image. you better clear your email area out because you can hear his attchments coming for about two miles away. ha ha .
