I have had these art deco globe holders for at least 10 years and they have held several different globes on display over the years. I am currently getting ready to redo my office and these will have to go. I originally bought them on ebay over 10 years ago when I first started collecting, and they were removed from the front steps of some federal building out east, when it was being demolished.
They stand 42 inches tall with 6 inch globe fitters on the top. There is a cross bar at the base of the fitter, that allows for placement of a lighting socket if you wanted to light up your globe! The bases are 11 inches square and have provisions for 1/2 inch anchor bolts to hold them down on the steps they were attached to. These are "ONE PIECE" cast iron units and they are in perfect condition. There are NO DAMAGES to either of them. I have attached a picture of them holding some of my globes in my office so that you might see how I was using them.
These are heavy pieces and shipping gets a little expensive but I can bring them to Iowa Gas for free or I can deliver them next week to the PNW or to northern California! I will be out west delivering some articles that I sold, and I can easily bring these along. Price is $750 each

Very kool! If I had a Standard Oil Flame to put on top, I would buy one.

Its hard to see in the pictures, but the pole section is fluted and the curved centers are decorated with embossed spears! These pillars really add a lot to any globe display!
I leave on Wednesday for the Pacific NW and can bring them along!
