In late summer 1997 my parents went to Albuquerque to buy a motorcycle and ride it back to Michigan. They stopped in Santa Rosa N.M., Stayed at the Super 8 and had dinner at a restaurant near the hotel.
My father asked the restaurant owner if he would be willing to sell him this Route 66 sign that was hanging on the wall. He agreed after a long "fat chewin' session" about the sign having been on the wall for 30 years. My father shipped it home to Michigan ahead of them and has had it on a wall in their home ever since.
"I" have NO doubt of this signs authenticity, but am not sure where to start in pricing and selling. It is in great condition, weighs approximately 3.5lbs, I can provide as many photos as necessary to see it sold to someone who appreciates it for it's historical authenticity.
