I'm not much of a craftsman but I want to get some globe's lighted and on a wall. What do you guys use for shelving or how do you display them? I looked at shelves at Home Depot, Menards and Lowes but didn't see anything that I thought would work.

I built barn wood boxes with in laid ad glass. But probably not a good idea if your not very handy. But to be honest, it's just a box. Not really that big a deal if you don't do the ad glass.

fatty, you might want to search the forum and the archives about this subject. It has been covered in depth before, with lots of information and photos from the Old Gas members. John

New wood distressed and stained to look like the rest of the vintage barn wood in my display area.

Polished aluminum globe mounts with under mounted wiring running CFL bulbs.

Later . . .

I just use pipe and pipe fittings with adaptors and globe rings. It seems to work fairly well for me.

I’ve been out to Jim’s and it is very impressive. I’ve also been to Steve’s and love incorporating the ad glass with the globe. It’s a great idea.

You can always buy pumps to put under them for display.... lol

Good luck with your project.
