Any recommendations on budget shipping a running '65 T-Bird from Denver to Austin, TX. I say budget because I can fly & drive, but would much rather ship, but it all boils down to $$$$.

AA transport moved a motorcycle from Aspen to TN. for what I thought was reasonable. They also do Autos. Checked with several and they all seem to run about the same as they compete for your cargo.
Only way You may get it moved for a deal is U-Ship . You put it up on their site and haulers bid for your cargo find something that works for you and except, and it becomes a contract haul.

I've used PILOT transportation and was completely satisfied with them. If you don't mind the weather, an open carrier can be quite cost effective (but I'm not sure Pilot has open trailers).
I DO NOT recommend Passport Transport. They gave me the run-a-round about picking up my vehicle for 6 weeks and never picked it up. PILOT picked it up a week and a half after I contacted them. I've heard Horseless Carriage is good also.
