I'll take a crack at it. If anyone disputes my thought, feel free to chime in with your 2 cents. On the plus side, it looks as tho the sign has honest wear, but is in decent shape overall. The green still pops. On the downside, its not gas or oil, and it is HUGE. At 16 feet, few collectors would have the wall real estate to display it. For comparison sake, last week a local auction house had an 8 foot left facing mobil Pegasus that hammered for $4800 including tax and commission. My guess is that your sign would be valued at $300. If you're looking to get more for it, you may have to shop it for a while. Again, just my opinion. Hope this helps.
Paul

That sign is worth more than $300. Here are some IGA signs that sold at Miller's for around $800, $900 and $1400. That was an auction, so price may be high, but your sign has better graphics (in my opinion), and is probably more rare than IGA (and older).

Here's a western state groceries that sold for $700

The fact that it's not gas & oil doesn't mean much. There are guys who collect gas & oil, guys that collect soda, guys and farmers that collect farm & feed, guys that collect grocery & retail, guys that collect dairy & ice cream, and guys that collect all of the above.

I know these are not the same exact signs to compare to, but I would buy that sign all day long at $300.

I agree with what Steve posted. That is a cool sign and in good shape with nice graphics and bright color. To me it's a least a $1500 sign only because the size is limiting your market. Guys like me who have been collecting for a long time are out of display space so as much as I dig the sign there is no room left for me and if it were for sale I would pass. Never thought size would actually matter.

I see too many large chips and some false gloss created by wetting the sign . $300 plus $1500 = $1800....half that....I think its worth about $900 . The IGA signs are even hard to sell, and it's one of the most familiar food store names around.
