Guys, keep this up and thank you.. You all can talk about your military service, in my case I did not get sent over there, and many did get sent over there, but remember these two words: WE SURVED.
I just thought I would like to add this following bit:
Almost 100 years ago the last few days my father landed in France during WWI. Before he reached the front lines the war ended. My older brother quit high school and joined the Navy around 1943. He became the radio gunner in the Douglas Daunghles airplanes flying of the carriers during WWII.. He served in both the Atlantic and the Pacific theatres. As you know I am a Korean Vet. My younger brother is a Viet Nam Vet. We did loose a cousins at one of the invasions in the Pacific. My wife's father was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge in Germany in 1945. Her oldest son recently retire 22 years, U. S. Army, E-8. He was up for appointment to E-9 and becoming the Sargent of the Army, reporting to the Joints of Staff in Washington, but someone else was appointed, My Wife's first husband was 82nd Airborne, Viet Nam vet. Her second husband was Navy, Viet Nam Vet Me, my first wife was a little older than me, but she served as a nurses aid in the U.S. Army in Japan taking care of wounded coming back to Korea. My second wife was a 2nd Lt. Airforce registered nurse (soon to become Capitan) accompanying Nam Vets to hospitals near their homes
None of us much talk about the things we did, we just take it for granted as much of you do. So again, WE SERVED. .

In 1966 there were four young friends who graduated high school together. We all enlisted, as was the norm, at that time....remember there was a draft. Three went Army and I went Air Force. Of the four who served, only two returned to our very small farming community. One was my cousin who grew up with me and was like a brother. The other my close friend, Billy who lived on the next farm over. Thanks to Jack, for reminding me to remember them at this time of year. We are all so busy with our lives that it slips away. God Bless our Military now and all who have served before. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

Thank you to all of you who have served. Your service and all those who served before you is what has made our country a shining light on the hill for the rest of the world to see. We take for granted our freedoms and rights that you all served to protect. Again Thank You.
