I saw this in my dad’s shop and decided to try to find the history of it for him. What would this sign have gone to? The top of an oil rack of something? He is not looking to sell (bought it from an old lady at a garage sign years ago) but I told him that I thought it was probably worth something.

...if the lettering in the lower right corner says 'Desperate Sign Co, Wadsworth O', it wouldn't have gone anywhere, as it's a fake - a reproduction/fantasy item...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...
