It would be very tempting if it were near me. But a buyer would have to do his research to make sure there isn't any contaminated soil from old leaking tanks.

It looks like the seller has thought of the possible mortgage problem issue, Les. From the sales description: "Asking $99,000, or Cash offer, or contract with $40K down with a payment under $500 monthly." This could be some pretty inexpensive living for an old car or old motorcycle lover. And, according to my wife, perhaps a guy who is single! John

By coincidence, I stopped at this retired station a couple of years ago. Our daughter and her family live just a few miles down the road in Pullman, WA. The station is nicely done. I recall the owner had a little metal box by the gas pumps, with a sign that mentioned picture takers were welcome to toss in a donation to help with station upkeep. Over the years, I'm sure any number of old cars guys have stopped to photograph their cars "gassing up". John

I drive by it every time I've gone to Colfax but it's been a couple years. It didn't look this good then. He's worked hard! Didn't even have pumps the last time I went by.
