Hello. I am new to this world of collecting petroliana. My family farmed in rural NY from the 1860s until recently, and there are some old items around I am curious about. Also, a friend showed me a piece found in his sister's barn and was trying to figure out what it is. We think it is an old gas or oil pump. I will post a picture to see if anyone can help identify it. Thanks!

Welcome to Oldgas. Good luck with your search for information. The members here have a wealth of information and should be able to assist once you post pictures.
Regards, Jim
I collect gas pump salt and pepper shakers and the plastic coin banks made by AVSCO.

Thanks! Running into signs all over the place, just hoping to not get bamboozled.
