Gang, I hate to ask this, but I'm having difficulty pricing an item for a guy. The Worthpoint value service is showing one just like it from a completed auction. But, of course, I have to be a Worthpoint subscriber to access the pricing and auction date. I know I could sign up for a free trial of the service, and then cancel. But, I'm always a bit scared to use my credit card for something like that.

If you're a current Worthpoint subscriber, I'd be happy to send you a couple of bucks for looking up the final auction value of the one item in question. Please PM me, if you can help. I'd appreciate it. Thank you. John

Why rely on Worthpoint? That could just be an over exuberant bidder? Like Barrett-Jackson. Why not just ask "the gang"? I think you would get a better idea of value. Unless you don't want to divulge the item. JMO

Worthpoint is pretty handy, nice to have actual action results. Typically you get a number of auction results so you can get an idea of value versus condition. I use it all the time but your right, you dont use one high auction result to set your price.

Hi, gang. I wouldn't want my ONLY reason for initially posting this topic to be overlooked. I needed some help, and an Old Gas member immediately stepped up and gave me a hand. To me, that speaks highly about some of the guys we have on the forum, AND about the tone of what Old Gas has been about since probably its beginning. Old Gas is so much more to its members, than a place to buy and sell gas and oil stuff. John
