In short, can anyone tell me definitively where this Sunoco china was used?
Now we all know that the Texaco china was used on it's fleet of tanker ships and it even sports a marine theme on it.
I also am aware that Sunoco had it's own ship building company and I assume it's own tankers. (See link below for your reading enjoyment)
But, and it's just a hunch, I don't think that on ships is where this stuff was used but I really don't know.
I have a theory that maybe Sunoco had dinners in, or along with some of it's station at one time and that's where it comes from. But the only real evidence for said theory are these 2 postcard style pictures.
Any factual knowledge/evidence would be appreciated.

As some of the other companies china, some used on marine vessels or in company stores I believe.

Hmm?? Company stores? What's a company store?
Or as you PM'd me, Corporate headquarters. Now that does kind of make sense.
I sure would like to find out for absolute sure.

Back in the day larger companies had separate cafeterias hourly and salary did NOT eat together, or socialize together. It would be from the salary cafeteria. I have seen Oldsmobile, Ford Buick and other china

For Sunoco, I've never seen anything other then what I have. Never seen a plate of any kind. Wonder if they exist?
