Hi all, i just got my first old gas pump and I really dont know what i am doing with it!
I like to work on pretty much anything with wheels, and for some reason have an affinity for things involving petroleum. I got the gas pump for the asking and find i am really intrigued by it. it is a bennett 546. I love my 3 daughters and 2 dogs and appreciate my community. Thank you all for the wealth of knowledge you put up here.
i thought just now, as i was using a dremel to take paint off the identification plate, maybe i should be asking, what are the things you definitely should NOT do with an antique gas pump? I dont want to ruin anything, but with that being said, it is for yard decor, not to ever sell it or worry primarily about its value. I guess i just appreciate when things are done nicely and correctly.
Thanks all!
Matt
