Still plugging along. Got notice today that the signs are ready to ship. Can't wait to get them up if we ever get to the painting stage! I super-sleuthed out a company that was able to make the signs by using the small "eBay SINCLAIR" sign as a go-by, they duplicated the font and used my pictures from old stations and the dimensions I provided based on the marks I measured on the station and made the signs. They really look good....

Signs look nice and will look even better on the building. What are they made of or how are they produced? Pained tin, vinyl wrap, porcelain?

They are porcelain- I looked into paint and vinyl and they both wouldn’t last in this weather.

WOW!!!! Signs look killer, and porcelain no less! Can't wait to see them on the station also! Can you post the name of the company here?

Has something happened to the guy restoring this old station, as he hasn't posted any pictures since December? Just wondering as I love the work he's doing!

Sorry for the lull in posting, but it's been absolutely crazy since December.
I retired the end of December and we sold out of our house and sold out the in-law's house and all of us moved up near the station.
Got pulled off the station for 2 months turning another building (an old oil-barrel and tire storage building) into an office/apartment.
We're almost through with all the carpenter work and the painter is supposed to start prep this week.
I'll get together more pictures but here are a few.

That's the storage building that was turned into the apartment/office. Covered most all the walls with shiplap.

Fixed the old men's room door and stained and re-hung it.

I cleaned and stripped and chipped the lift to where I wanted it. Coated it with 6 coats of poly and now I'm waiting on the painter to finish before I mount the top.

I had some leftover barn wood so used it to make a counter front for the building. On top of the counter is the beam I mounted above it.

We also had some leftover plaster lath wood from another building we own that we stripped out in 2015. The building was built in 1893 and I had kept a bundle or two of the plaster lath strips so I spent some time planing them down, then stained them and mounted them to the ceiling to close in the new AC unit and also above the alcove in the station.

The alcove ceiling- and I had an old set of horns that had been laying around for years so I gutted them and mounted some LED lights inside and they are going in the alcove to be a downlight.
