Chris i Want to thank you for your generous offer of the brass id tag . Received it in the mail today . Gave it a slight oh so slight buff and going to get it out on the pump as soon as I go thru my brass screws and find the correct size . So thanks again Bob

I really enjoy seeing one Old Gasser helping another completing a pump and preserving history. It isn't all about making a buck!

Just curious if you went with reman or original globe ? Looking for one or the other myself...If it is a reman.... does it look good lit up ? What is the durability of the paint on those ?
Nice pump I would like to find on like it

Quality reproduction lenses are made exactly like the originals - so they will last as long as originals.
Not the acrylic lenses, those are worthless (IMHO), but the reproduction glass lenses are a better choice for a pump restoration.
Nothing looks worse than a high end paint job with a washed out globe sitting on it. Again IMHO.
Later . . .

Like Jim said Complete restoration go with a after market reproduction glass lens and metal globe body painted to match your pump .If it’s going to be an Outside pump reproduction for sure . Don’t want hail ,or rock throwing kids or with a BB gun for Xmas taking it out .. If inside your house original would be nice but pricey .Mine is aftermarket and use them on all my outside pumps . Original globes kept safely inside for display .

Lit up ! Had to put a lower watt bulb in it (now) it was a little too bright and overshadowed the price window . These pictures were before I changed to a lower watt bulb .

Beautiful Bob!! I don't know about those crown globes, but I put 40W equivalent LED in all my globes. Works out great. And no heat with the LED. And they last basically forever.
Steve Coppens Always interested in Sunoco items! Really want a Sunoco National pump ad glass!!

Thanks .Yes that is what I put in all my other pumps 25 watt glare reduced led . With the crown being bigger I started out with a larger Led but was too much and I was also out of the smaller wattage and i had to order a couple boxes of lower wattage .The pics are with the first bulbs & since switched out to lower . Just haven’t taken any new pictures. Have been slowly changing all my bulbs to led even outside security lights .
