Hey Guys,

As many of you know, I’m not too in to signs but I picked up this Shell SSP sign I am unfamiliar with. It has holes at the bottom that indicate it attached to something…oil rack most likely? Anyone know what, exactly? A picture of it back in the day is extra points 😊
Thanks!

I would think it was attached to the top of the holder for the various grease guns used to lube the vehicles back in the day. It held multiple grease guns filled with the appropriate grease for the chassis, water pump, etc. I have seen many in pictures from back in the day in the "Luberitorium".

Thanks Randy. I had seen one of those but not the other. Would love to see it as used in a station!

The bottom had a porcelain shelf with oil jars showing the grades of oil needed for each lube point. Sorry NFS.

Thank you for that! Kind of what I had in mind but never would have guessed that exactly. Thanks for sharing!
