Hey guys, I have an opportunity to aquire my first ever pump. It is a fully functioning Gasboy 100. The guy wants to trade the pump for one of my DX pump signs.
So I have a few questions.
Are parts easy to find? Should I gut the pump and sell the parts? This is for display only.
How much will it cost to refinish this bad boy?
Should I invest my time & money in this pump?

I know its a small pump, but I was thinking small on my first one and see if this is something I want to get in to.
Thanks for any and all info and input.

I always gutted the pumps since they were for display. They were very heavy even with the guts removed. I did the disassembly, refinish, and assembly myself for the fun of it. It wasn’t professional but they turned out pretty good. There are a few shops that sell reproduction gas pump parts as well as some original. It is all a process that sometimes takes a while. But when you come to the end you can really be proud of what you have done.
