Looks aftermarket to me , not very high quality. Probably JC Whitney or similar. Internal threads on a radiator are uncommon.

As Roy stated, "Internal threads on a radiator are uncommon". So, for fun, let's think outside the box. What if this ornament ISN"T a radiator cap? Where could it have been used...Flag pole topper?....Decorative architectural ornament? Tombstone or tomb decoration?....Topper on industrial fence posts or part of an industrial gate? And, Old Gas friends, rather than do a thumbs down on my ideas, how about adding some of your own! Just looking to have some fun this morning, Gang! John

The threads appear to be standard 1 1/2" pipe. Flagpole top seems right. IMO. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

Well, I pulled it out of an engine carcass that was rotted beyond the point of recognition, so I'm sure it was used on a vehicle. I did think it was a strange piece though... Well, I'll put it on my shelf of oddities.

I believe the Model T outside thread diameter is something like 1-7/8". How does this compare? John

Model T radiator is 1 7/8" female. This looks like it might be for a T. The A radiator is male threaded. I owned a couple of T's. Have several A's now. All kinds of ornamental caps back in the day.
Anything oil and gas.
