OP Larry Bell Member L Joined: May 2021 Posts: 5 Likes: 1 TEMECULA, CA	My Rush built/assembled Fry pump has a tag that is beyond repair. So I made a new one. Does anybody know if the Rush tags made for Sinclair originally had a black painted background or were installed with no paint? I made the new tag but am not sure if I should paint the background black, patina and polish the top surfaces, or just use it as is. Thanks. Larry

He instructed them to trace it rather than use a standard font. Otherwise nothing would match the original font. After that a mask was made and applied to the brass. The brass was etched in acid. Then cleaned up. I think the black we see on the original tag is just years of oxidation. I'm going to leave it as is for now.
