Regarding the A38 model gas pump made by National Pumps Corporation, I was told they made this model pump in two sizes - a short one and a long one. Can anyone confirm this?? And, if so, what would the dimensions be of each one?? Thanks!

There is only 1 size A38.

But there are at least two versions of the A-38.
One with a standard hose outlet from the side of the pump.
And one (the A-38H) that has an extra long hose that comes out of the corner of the base.

In regard to a short A38, you may have that confused with a National A62. They look kind of the same with the curved ad glass on top.

I've seen a National A-38 cut down very short with no meter space, but still had the normal top with painted sheet metal in the ad glass spots. Certainly not a National factory job, but probably an aftermarket shop made it up for the farm/fleet user.
