OKAY, EVERYONE....IT'S SUNDAY NIGHT AND ALMOST 7PM OLDGAS.COM TIME AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS, RIGHT??!! TIME TO SHOW US YOUR "BUYS OF THE WEEK!" LAST WEEK WAS A LITTLE FLAT, SO HOPING THAT THIS EDITION WILL BE A PICK-ME-UP IN THE BUYS DEPT. I'LL START OFF WITH THESE TYPICAL ITEMS: LOCAL EBAY PURCHASE: THIS GROUP FROM A TAG SALE YESTERDAY: ANYBODY REMEMBER THESE FROM THE LATE 60'S WHEN SHELL RAN THIS PROMOTION CALLED THE "PRESIDENTIAL HALL OF FAME" COIN SET. I BELIEVE THE IDEA WAS TO COLLECT ALUMINUM COINS WHEN YOU FILLED UP. WHEN YOU GOT ALL 36 PRESIDENTS, YOU SENT THEM IN FOR THIS BRASS SET OF COINS IN A HOLDER. ENDS @ R.NIXON, SO THAT PUTS IT IN THE 68-72 REGION AT LEAST. SO...WHAT DID YOU GUYS GET? WE WANNA SEE!!!! THANKS! DOC @ TAG.WEST

Here is a Frontier sign I found on a farm under about 3 inches of dirt, still needs a good cleaning. Thanks http://pumps.theedwardsteam.com/uploads/files/aprilpics06%20015.jpg

Here are a few Sinclair items I brought home. The cans are mine, the clock and sign are my brothers. All of the handy oilers are different. The green ones have a different size oil drop on the front and the red ones have a different color Dino on the bottom. I also got a set of white, red and black Dino cans. I still need to try to clean them up a little more. The colors are a little washed out from the camera flash. The neon clock works, the sign is painted tin [This message has been edited by Wes Maxwell (edited 04-23-2006).]

Well here is the sign I got last week. I was very happy to get it. I have to Thank Dr. Carl for selling this sign to me at a price I could afford. Dr. Carl is the King County Medical examiner and he was given this sign 14 years ago from a lady who had it patching a hole in the roof of a chicken coup. Its double sided porcelain and after I cleaned it up found its in awesome shape with great gloss still. ------------------ Hubba: GAS GEEK , OIL FREAK and humble moderator

Wow, Dick, that's a beautiful thing. Best looking electric pump I've seen in quite a long time.

Nice 'rust' everyone. I really like the '50' - and the neon Sinclair clock. And it looks like 'Slick' is cornering the market on cylinders. Dick - I love the Erie. Sooner or later (later probably), I'll get my Erie 70 painted. The frame and internals are all done. I just have to get the skins blasted and painted. (And I have another one coming in 'sometime' from California.)
Hubba - kewl sign. I'm glad it worked out for you. Later . . . Jim www.T-waysGraphics.com [This message has been edited by T-way (edited 04-25-2006).]
