As many of you know, I collect CHEVRON stuff. http://www.oldgas.com/shoptalk/ubb/Forum4/HTML/001159.html Among the items that I've collected, are a few Aviation items. I felt that these were worthy of their own display, so I took some time this weekend, to make one. The back of the display is a 1940 aviation map of the Salt Lake City area. On the left side, I stacked my Aviation oil cans. Below the shelf, are a few "Flight Guide" cards. And on the shelf, a model of "The Spirit of St Louis", which of course, was fueled with Red Crown fuel for its historic flight. Behind it is a picture of the plane, and beside it, a 1927 Red Crown tanker. Now the search is on for a few more Aviation items. This stuff multiplies fast.... ------------------ Anything Chevron
Anything Chevron I'd rather be flying.....

Very nice Thunder, I always enjoy seeing the displays the members here put together. I don't see one of your "RPM handy oilers" and lube cans in the display. Can't imagine all the time that was spent making sure that everything was lubed, especially before zirc fittings. Again, very nice!

Thanks guys... Frank. CHEVRON only. Thanks again. Bob. Thank you also. But this shadow box is for "Aviation" stuff only. So even though a handy oiler may have been used, if it isnt labeled "Aviation" I probably wont put it in here. But this isnt MY thread, lets see what other Aviation stuff is out there...

My aviation items are put to shame by Thunder's nice shadow box, but thanks to Doug I do have a few Texaco items. The 2 larger logbooks were never used, but the smaller was used from July '41 to Jan '42. [This message has been edited by Bob Richards (edited 12-01-2008).]
