Can't figure out why I'm unable to view most all of the pictures which folks post. Instead of a picture, I see a "box" in the message. When I left click on the box, I see indications that it's trying to open a link to "imageshack.us", but then it just sits there. Do I need to change some of my settings?

Nope. As a matter of fact, I don't even see the "square" on yours, although it does appear on the reply from jkyocom.

I had the same problem, and in my case it was Zone Alarm, I got rid of it and can now see all the pics. So it may be in your virus-firewall program also.

That may very well be the problem. I'm on one of Uncle Sugar's computers, and they've recently tightened system security. The pictures are probably getting stuck between a couple of bricks in the damn fire wall!

Jim, I doubt its zone alarm, but you can find out by shutting it down tempporarily and looking at a pic. If that works, go to program control in zone alarm and change the settings to allow. Turn zone alarm back on and see if that works. If you shut down zone alarm and still cant see pics, try clicking on tools, internet options, advanced. Now check your browser settings and multi media settings. You may have to check a box that is unchecked. Good luck. John

To kinda piggyback on The Vermonter's post, under the "security" tab on internet options, you can add this (and other) websites specifically to your trusted sites. That should take care of the issue. Jim
