I was told by a few different people that there are around 200 floating around. Two theories: one they were recently produced, two they were found in a warehouse in Texas.
The aforementioned is only "heresay" I have no idea, other than there is quite a few of them surfacing. Personally, I passed on one a few weeks ago for $650....it seemed to good to be true.
Collect small Oklahoma Oil Co.'s 1920's-1940's. Barnsdall, Cushing, Eason, Marland, etc.

I ran into a couple of these at Canton First Monday 2 months ago. The guy had 2 of them, and I think he's from Missouri. The T-53 looks too large for the sign, the back also looks suspect to me. I may be wrong but my gut says pass on this...

Daryl, "The seller insists they are 100% real as he got it from a petroliana moderator." What is a "petroliana moderator" ?

Yes back with a 1174.00 buy it now. IF it was real would be worth more than that. You can tell it just looks wrong I would not give it a 2nd look at a show just pass it up. In the first listing says would be glued because of no mounting holes? Man they are stretching it now. I know there is a known repo section on here but keeps losing them as time elapses, moderators is there a way to keep them? So everyone can check on uncertain items or obvious fakes.
