There is a dealer selling an original Sinclair (110232681316) and an original Rebel (110232378739) sign on eBay. Are these really originals?

They don't look right to me. The Sinclair is a fantasy piece I think. The Sinclair collectors will be able to tell.

I am no sign expert, but there is no way those are original.

The Sinclair is a fantasy piece. I emailed the seller, asked him how old it was. He said he didn't know, the guy he got it from in Jersey "Said it had some age to it"

I knew it was a fake, wanted to see what the story on it was. It is double sided, a lot of the fakes are single sided.

I don't believe the Rebel is original, probably a fantasy piece. Here's the real deal, although it's a 6' sign you can see the differences. Wish I owned this one, but it belongs to a friend of mine.

The Sinclair is fake and fantasy beyond a shadow of a doubt. It looks terrible too. Why would anyone go through all that trouble, and use a fantasy logo that never existed? They even botched the font - pretty lame.

On the Rebel I can't say for sure, but it doesn't look right, and I'd say it's guilty by association.

The part I find odd is they both signs have just 2 mounting or hanging holes and they are at the top? I don't remember seeing signs with the holes just at the top like these 2. I would also agree both are reproductions or fakes that look like they were made from the same blanks.

Sinclair NEVER used that logo ever. It is well documented in all the books and magazines. The large dino logo is fantasy. Sinclair used small dino logos with the Big word "Dino" under it. I believe PCM magazine went over that just an issue or two ago. Rebel never used a 30" sign either. Only ones from that company are 6 footers.
