Ebay has changed their feedback rules...I went to Ebay Live help to get it explained to me..I went thru 2 different live help persons with the net result being they told me the new way of calculating feedback is confusing..even to them.

ONE DAY THIS WEEK MY FEEDBACK WENT FROM 821 + AND 1 - TO 951+ AND NO - CHANGING MY LONGTIME 99.9% TO 100%. I THINK THE NEW RULES SUCK FOR THE SELLERS. JUST DOESN'T SEEM FAIR THAT SELLERS CANNOT LEAVE A NEG FB.

I notice that my number jump up 7 more positive but when I looked to see whom left me feedback I could not see them, I think if you buy more than 1 item, like 5 from one seller, now they all count. Cash

Ebay rep told me that now a neutral is counted as a negative on your feedback....makes no sense.

My ebay seller talked to his personal handler about this deal. Apparently this is all geared towards driving the "little guy" sellers away from ebay. Too many "little guy" sellers with low ethical standards are causing way too much work and expense for ebay, and concurrently lowering overall trust in ebay sellers by the general public.

So, basically all the new feedback rules etc are geared towards driving anyone who isn't a squeaky-clean power seller off the site. They just don't want to be policing a flea market anymore when most of their profit is from luxury items, cars and industrial machinery.

I see a lot of small sellers still on ebay. As one who has been burned by a number of "questionable" sellers, I am glad that ebay is finally doing something about them. That being said, not allowing a seller to leave a neg feedback is just plain stupid!!!! That is my humble opinion. Those that know me know I am never humble. So this new policy must be stupid, cause I said so! lol

Bob it is a stupid policy, but again it is by design. Ebay wants to get rid of ALL small sellers because that's easier for them than to invest time and money into more ingenious methods of weeding out the riff-raff. If you're posting fewer than 25-40 auctions per week ebay wants you gone, period.

The "neutral=negative" feedback with no seller recourse is their nuke. It kills the little guy, yet the power-seller with 12,000 positives can take the hit without feeling it.

Ebay's message to all us 'lil folk is "find a qualified (big) trading partner to sell your stuff. We don't want you".

I guess I don't understand what everyone is complaining about Ebay,, I'm a small seller , I only have 478 plus feedback with a rating of 100% which was just 99.6% the other day,, who cares it's better to have more than not enough... the last item I just sold on Ebay last week will let me leave a negative feedback or neutral or positve,,, so I don't get what the problem is guys, please explain ???

Here is my example of how the new system would get me a negative. I sold an item with the postage in the listing. I responded to an email about the postage also. It was 10 days before payment was made via paypal. I shipped 2 days later. Five days after payment was made buyer filed complaint with paypal. Buyer left feedback a day or two after the complaint was filed but did not close the dispute. He then started begging for feedback. He does not want the feed back I want to leave for him. With the new system I would probably gotten a neg because the buyer was stupid. Atleast with the old system it was not smart to leave a quick neg.
