Remember all the different things that service stations would give to their customers? Like glasses or mugs. As a child, I had an AM transistor radio, in the shape and colors of a Sunoco pump. If I only knew where this would take me. Does anybody have any thing that they would like to show off?

Back in the 60's I ran a lot of service station promotions gave away a lot of stuff.The best "GIMMIES" that brought the people in was,COKE-A-COLA,a 6-pak with a 8 gallon purchase and a case of COKE with a oil change.Instant results.
The long term conspicuous items like salt and peppers,lighters and calendars worked also.

Those are a nice looking set of Kyso S&Ps. I haven't seen them before. Do they ever turn up for sale on eBay or elsewhere?

Hers one I would like to see;

In the 60,s BA ( Britsh American) gave away teepees!! They were plastic.

Compuwrench said he had when when he was a little feller, they would play in the one he had in the hot sun, nice plasic smell..LOL Eventually he said the plastic would get brittle and break, never have seen one in real life!

Anyone seen one or remeber them??

I remember when the MOHAWK opened here, they gave out headdresses made of paper and dyed chicken feathers, they also had some kind of BlendoMatic pumps there, that was about65 or 66.

Thunder, It worked when I first got it about 7 or 8 years ago, but now it just sits on a shelf without the battery. I would think it still works, but don't know for sure. I believe I got it at a local auction.
