I am assembling a Wayne 60 , of which I took MANY
digital photos which have "disappeared" from my computer.
My question is this -
There are two stamped steel "U" shaped bars which mount
across the top of the corner angle frames. These support
the sight glass assemblies and (on one side) the dual light
bar assembly to light the faces. Are these mounted with the
"U" facing up or down?
Thank you for nay help.
Michael

Heres a picture with the channels facing up and the sight glass assembly sitting inside the U shaped channel.
If the sight glass doesn't center up like it should, you can use a small washer under it to raise it a little.
It takes some time to get everything aligned again, when you take a 60 apart that far! Good Luck!---KEVIN

On my 866, there were horseshoe shaped shims between the channel and the frame rail. I assume that that was to properly align the sight glass assembly in the sheet metal, correct?

Also, can sombody tell me which side the serial number plate goes on?

I guess it's a small detail, but I would like to be as correct as possible.

Thanks.

Steve
