Hi, I think these were mainly in the nice weather states, but Im looking for stop/go signs from the 1920's that had a motor that would flip out the stop sign/flag then tilt it back in the case and lift out the go sign. Anyone have one of these for sale? Please contact me at coinoplibrary@comcast.net thanks!

Semaphore...good luck finding one, I've never seen them except in old movies...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

They do seem to be extremely rare. According to the 'web, the Smithsonian displays one of the last in use and they say it was hard to find.

It is so rare, pretty much whatever the seller wants. If it is in good shape, collectors would/will "beat a path to his door".

...whatever you can afford, plus a little more if you have to...it'll be a long time before you find another...and you don't want to beat yourself up for not dropping another $50-100...

last nice acme i saw sold was in the 5k range and that is about what a collector would expect to pay....if he(she) could find one. i believe kenny b. (check with tom stover, that is why no last name) has two nice ones in his collection, he might have some leads and tom might be able to direct you to him..or not.
