Thanks for the memory. My father owned a service station in the early fifties that was attended by my grandfather. I can remember my grandfather's old cronies sitting around the old wood heater telling stories of the old days. I can still remember somebody jumping up to wait on the customers in the little town of 200 population and the occasional stranger that passed through.
