I have a National C-38 pump & the stainless corner trim needs polished & some minor dents removed. A couple of them have a big dent towards the bottom that will need some work. If someone or if you know of someone that can help me out drop me a line. Thanks

Eastwood company sells a trim repair set..it is a small body hammer with a flat head and a pick head and a set of small dollies to work out dents and dings in trim pieces. It's just like standard bodywork only on a much smalled scale..when the dents are gone, you can polish (or have polished) just like always. If there is a reputable trim shop or custom auto shop near they may be able to do the work for you but it will cost you. I have found it MUCH more economical to do it myself.

i have all my stainless pieces of this type done locally by a fellow who repairs and rebuilds trumpets, tubas, french horns and the like. it takes him a while to get to it, but these guys have all the necessary tools, skills and the touch. if you have such a shop in your area, drop in and give it a shot. he did all the repairs for trim on my national a-1, a-38, tok 36-b, erie 71, etc

Thanks alot Robert & 41 for the info. I ran into a guy in KC that did this & he did A+ work & was really reasonable. The bad thing was he did not want to ship it back to me. He said he did that a couple times & the stuff got damaged in shipping. I dont have a local shop that does it so I was hoping for the name of someone who did it. Thanks again

Look in the back of a classic car magazine. There are usually a few ads for people who do this type work. If I remember right Paul's Chrome can do what you are looking for. www.paulschrome.com

Disclaimer:
I have no knowledge of their abilities.
I have used them for rechroming stuff and it seems I read somewhere repair stainless.
