Looks like a nice pump to me, plus it appears to have an original porcelain pump plate on it. I would say 300 is fair.

I just sold one at auction, just like it and it brought $175 but your paint is a little better and you've got 2 pump plates, so you're right in the ballpark!! They look pretty good all polished up! Keep a very close watch on it though as all members here have reported that their unattended pumps keep multiplying somehow! First theres one, then two and before you know it, theres a dozen in the garage!! As of yet, no one will fess up as to how it happens!

300 looks like a good price, if you got 2 Gulf Signs they're worth 100. Just thought I'd say when I first saw a 1006 for sale I thought they were ugly and too new looking. I eventually called on it and bought it. That was five pumps ago. I think I've fallen in love with them now. But I've sold them all now. If anybody has any unrestored reasonable near SC I'm a buyer. They look great restored and I think they appeal more to people with muscle cars than the older pumps.

Wow thanks for all the replies guys I appriciate it. I didn't think these had a following. My garage is 30x30 but it only has 8ft celing so this I think would look good with my cars.

One more question fellas, does it make it more or less or not matter if the pump is still installed in the frame?

I, also really like the 1006 Salesmaker pumps. I've done several as entertainment centers, and this one is one i made for my wife, who is an LSU grad, as an anniversary gift. The are great pumps, easy to work on and customize. What's not to like??

Ok fellas I picked up the pump for 200!! My buddy that owns a paint shop want to paint it. I was wondering if anyone knows the Gulf Blue and Orange paint codes. From pictures I have seen the blue should be on the bottom plate and orange on the top.

Buy the globe/decals & have paint matched to those, you'll be happier in the long run w/ everything Matching

Rick, the colors you mention are for their regular grade, "Good Gulf" (blue base and appr a third up the skins and doors, the rest is orange). Their premium, No Nox, had the same blue and the top white.
When someone asks for colors, I always advise to do a search - theis question has been answered many times:-) ...or matching the decals as Dick said.
Also, look on ebay, there's always a magazine ad up for auction showing three Gulf branded pumps beside each other - a good way to see how the different schemes look.
