yesterday my father had a stroke around midnight. he is very alert and responsive to questions. he has no feeling right now in his left arm but still has good blood circulation and pulse in that arm so they feel it will recover but just in time. his left leg was also affected but is making a much faster recovery than his arm. he is able to wiggle his toes and can feel pressure but not yet able to stand due to it still being slightly immobile. he is cracking jokes and having himself a good time given the circumstances. his speech is somewhat also affected as well but that has made the best recovery yet. he is in the icu right now for observations. he is going through all tests today to find out how and why and where this clot happened. it is in his right brain and they are hoping medicine will dissolve the clot though it may take a couple days to show this. if it does not improve by a certain point then they will start to discuss surgery. if you have any questions concerns or just want to see him please email me at shellyholt@live.com i do have the internet on my phone so i will be able to respond when i can. please wait until he is on the main floor before you come and see him so that our family can be with him due to the hospitals visitor regulations. we will keep you posted

thank you

sincerly

Thanks so much, Shelly, for letting us know. Chris will be in our prayers. We hope that these early signs of movement and speech are a sign of full recovery.

Let us know any news, T-way.
